In the head, search for a sound, a tune that harmonizes with your mood.

Then, feel for your own mood. Take the emotion without judgement and let that guide your fingers to the strings.

Tap your feet to the rhythm of the tune. And after every phrase, change your speed to fit the fluctuations in the pace of the music. Change your pressure and tone with the pace of the music.

And as you get too dramatic, tone it down. Slow down. Relax your hands and breathe in.

Then soak the quiet in as you breathe out.

Make the quiet count. Because it is a rare state of mind, built up from all the emotion and drama. It is change in the mood of the listener and the player, and the increase and decrease in emotion that makes the quiet much more memorable.

An end to the emotion. A comfortable yet unnerving calm.
